Excessive Sleeping

Excessive sleeping, also known as hypersomnia, is a disorder characterized by overly long and frequent episodes of sleep. People with this disorder may sleep for up to 12 hours during the day and still feel extremely tired during the day. Excessive sleeping is associated with a wide range of issues such as an inability to concentrate, fatigue, and depression. It can also lead to a decrease in overall performance at work, school, or other responsibilities. Treatment options such as medications, therapy, and lifestyle changes may be needed to help manage the symptoms of excessive sleeping and reduce their severity. Understanding the causes and effects of excessive sleeping can help to improve quality of life and possibly reduce the risk of developing related illnesses.
