It examines relationships between individuals and groups, as well as how people’s thoughts and behaviors are influenced by the social environment. Social psychology seeks to understand how people’s attitudes and beliefs are shaped by the context and culture in which we live. It has a broad range of applications, from helping to reduce racial bias, to understanding group dynamics and conflict resolution.
