Parental Death
Parental death refers to the deaths of one or both parents of a child. This has a significant impact on the child's mental health, causing problems such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Parental death can also occur due to accidents, illnesses, or other circumstances. It can cause significant financial hardships for children who are left without the care of a parent. Interventions such as counselling and family support can help children and young people cope with the emotional and practical challenges associated with parental death.
