Embryo Loss
Embryo loss refers to the death of an embryo during pregnancy. It generally occurs during the first trimester, usually within the first 12 weeks of gestation. The exact cause of embryo loss is unknown, but it is thought to be linked to chromosomal abnormalities, infections, and medical conditions in the mother. Embryo loss can have a serious emotional impact on the parents and must be managed carefully by healthcare professionals. Research is currently underway to identify the causes of embryo loss and understand how to prevent and treat it.
