Viral Enzymes
Viral enzymes are proteins that play a critical role in viral replication and infection. They are essential for the viral life cycle, enabling the viral genetic material to be copied and the viral particles to be assembled. Viral enzymes are both pro- and anti-viral; those that promote viral replication and spread can be used to treat viral infections, while those that inhibit viral replication can be used to develop drugs and vaccines against viral diseases. Additionally, viral enzymes are important tools in molecular biology, allowing scientists to manipulate and study viral pathogens.
