Viral Core
Promoters Viral core promoters are short sequences of DNA/RNA found at the beginning of viral genes that control the expression of the viral genome. They are essential for the initiation of transcription in the host cell, allowing viruses to replicate and spread efficiently. Core promoters are key elements of viral genome organization, playing an important role in viral pathogenesis and disease. Viral core promoters are therefore important research targets for antiviral drug discovery and development.
