Pestivirus

Pestivirus is a genus of viruses belonging to the family Flaviviridae, which infect a variety of animals and can cause serious diseases such as bovine viral diarrhea (BVD). Pestivirus infections can spread quickly and cause a variety of symptoms that range from mild to severe. These viruses can be transmitted through direct contact with infected animals, as well as contaminated feed and water. Vaccines and other preventative measures, such as biosecurity and improved hygiene practices, can help to control and prevent pestivirus infections. In addition, control and monitoring of animal movement can help to reduce the risk of disease outbreaks.
