Hpv-16

HPV-16 is a type of human papillomavirus (HPV) that can cause cervical cancer and other types of cancer. It is the most frequent cause of cervical cancer and one of the most common sexually transmitted infections. Having HPV-16 can increase a person’s risk of developing cervical cancer, as well as other types of cancer. As such, it is important for people to get tested for HPV-16 and to follow up with regular screenings. Vaccines are also available which can protect people from the virus and its associated cancers. This can help reduce the risk of developing HPV-16-related cancers and ultimately help save lives.
