Hiv Prevention Pills
HIV prevention pills are drugs that have been proven to reduce the risk of HIV infection. These medications may be prescribed to people who are at high risk, such as those having unprotected sex or sharing needles. The combination of drugs is taken daily and is known as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). PrEP has been proven to reduce the risk of HIV transmission by more than 90%, making it an important tool in HIV prevention. PrEP has the potential to significantly reduce HIV transmission in at risk populations, enabling improved health outcomes, and increasing access to HIV treatment and prevention.
