Gene Delivery
Gene delivery is the process of introducing genetic material, such as DNA or RNA, into the cells of a living organism. This is done to modify or replace existing genes, or to add new ones in order to create a particular desired trait. Gene delivery can be used for research and therapeutic purposes, including gene therapy and genetic engineering – techniques that have the potential to revolutionize healthcare by providing treatments for genetic disorders, cancer, and other diseases. Gene delivery techniques have been widely studied to improve the efficiency, safety, and cost of gene therapies, in addition to enabling the manipulation of biological systems to produce novel products, such as biopharmaceuticals.
