Cytotoxic t Cells
Cytotoxic T cells are immune cells that play an important role in the body's ability to fight off disease. They are able to recognize and kill infected or cancerous cells by releasing powerful proteins called cytotoxins. These cytotoxins can also help to activate other immune cells such as B cells, which help to further destroy the targeted cells. Cytotoxic T cells are essential for the immune system to be able to effectively fight off infection and disease, and are therefore of great significance to human health. They are also widely used in medical research, with the potential to form the basis of new treatments for diseases such as cancer.
