Male Subfertility
Male subfertility is the reduced ability of a man to contribute to conception. It affects approximately 15% of couples across the globe, greatly impacting the chances of producing a child. Subfertility in men can be caused by a number of factors, such as hormonal imbalances, genetic issues, environmental factors, and diseases such as diabetes. Diagnosing male subfertility requires a semen analysis which includes tests such as sperm count and motility, or the ability of sperm to swim. Treatments for subfertility in men include lifestyle changes, medicine, and assisted reproductive techniques. These treatments can help improve fertility and increase the chances of successful conception.
