Glaucoma
Glaucoma is an eye condition that is caused by an increase in intraocular pressure (pressure inside the eye) leading to damage of the optic nerve and gradual loss of vision. It is the leading cause of blindness worldwide. Early detection and treatment is critical in order to prevent further vision loss. Glaucoma is typically treated with drops that lower the pressure in the eye, along with other medications, surgical procedures, and laser treatments.
