Disease Informatics
Disease informatics is a rapidly expanding field which uses information technology to collect, interpret and use data related to diseases. Its primary goal is to improve patient care and reduce costs associated with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Disease informatics helps medical professionals to quickly interpret clinical data, identify potential treatments, and understand the epidemiology of diseases. It also assists in medical research, enabling researchers to quickly access and analyse large amounts of data. With the increased use of electronic health records, disease informatics has the potential to greatly improve the workflow of medical professionals, and to create better outcomes for patients.
