Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is a complex disorder characterized by extreme fatigue that cannot be explained by any underlying medical condition. The fatigue is so severe that it interferes with a person’s ability to perform daily activities. CFS is a disabling and unpredictable condition that can significantly reduce a person's quality of life. There is no known cause or cure, so treatment focuses on managing symptoms. Treatment options may include rest, lifestyle changes, and medications to help manage symptoms like pain, sleep problems, depression, and other cognitive issues. With the right treatment, many people with CFS are able to live fulfilling lives. CFS is an important medical condition to be aware of, as it is a common and disabling medical condition that affects millions of people around the world.
