Perception
Perception is the process of interpreting and understanding experiences gathered through the senses. It includes the ability to recognize patterns, differentiate between different stimuli, and respond to internal and external environment. Through perception, humans and animals can analyze, understand and make decisions based on their environment. It is a fundamental component of cognition and provides the foundation for further cognitive processes such as reasoning, learning and problem solving. Perception is critical to survival, as it enables animals and humans to respond to their environment and to navigate their environment.
