Mental Health Alzheimer Disease
Alzheimer's Disease is a type of progressive neurological disorder that causes cognitive decline and dementia. It affects people over the age of 65, usually beginning with mild forgetfulness and confusion and eventually leading to memory loss, language difficulties, disorientation, and behavior changes. Treatment for Alzheimer's Disease is limited, but includes medications and lifestyle modifications to help manage symptoms. Mental health support groups and counseling are also available to provide support and assistance to those suffering from this condition, as well as their families. With timely diagnosis and intervention, people with Alzheimer's Disease can live full, meaningful lives.
