Prevention of Aids
Prevention of AIDS is a critical public health concern in the current era. AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) is a serious, life-threatening illness caused by HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus). HIV is mainly transmitted through sexual contact, sharing of needles and from mother to child during pregnancy, childbirth, or breastfeeding. Prevention of AIDS is of utmost importance and the most effective way to do so is to practice safe sex, using a condom and avoiding multiple sexual partners. Additionally, avoid sharing of needles and get tested for HIV regularly. There are also preventive measures that can be taken by pregnant women living with HIV, such as treatment during pregnancy, to reduce the risk of transmission to their child. Taking preventive measures can help reduce the spread of HIV and prevent AIDS.
