Aids Serodiagnosis
Aids serodiagnosis is a medical test used to detect the presence of antibodies to the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), the virus that causes AIDS. Commonly known as either HIV testing or AIDS testing, this diagnostic procedure plays an important role in the early detection and management of HIV infections, which can improve the prognosis of affected individuals. Early diagnosis also allows for the implementation of preventative interventions which can help to slow the spread of HIV in the community. Serodiagnosis tests usually involve the detection of antibodies in a patient’s blood sample and can provide results within a few hours.
