Rheumatology

Clinical case reports and images in the field of rheumatology are a vital tool for understanding and treating various rheumatic diseases. Rheumatology is the study of disorders that affect the joints, bones, and muscles, including those resulting from autoimmune, inflammatory, or infectious causes. Common rheumatic diseases include rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, or gout. Clinical case reports and images provide clinicians, researchers, and students in the field with insight into the diagnosis, management, and treatment of different rheumatic diseases. These reports are particularly essential because of the complex nature of rheumatic diseases, which often present with diverse symptoms and require a multidisciplinary approach for effective treatment. Clinical case reports provide comprehensive and detailed discussions of patients’ histories, laboratory investigations, and imaging studies. This information is vital in developing hypotheses on the mechanisms, causes, and risk factors of rheumatic diseases. Medical imaging, particularly x-rays, computed tomography (CT), or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, provides a non-invasive way to evaluate the severity, extent, and progression of rheumatic disease. It is therefore imperative to make these clinical case reports and images available to the wider scientific community through various online platforms.
