Humanistic Psychology

Humanistic psychology is a field of psychological study that focuses on helping people reach their fullest potential, by recognizing their inherent worth and providing them with the necessary support to reach self-actualization. It emphasizes more on the person's subjective experiences and personal growth, rather than emphasizing on the diagnosis and treatment of psychological problems. It is especially helpful in providing psychological support for individuals with depression and anxiety, as the focus is on understanding the person's feelings, rather than on the symptoms of the problem. Humanistic psychology also encourages individuals to take responsibility for their actions, think positively, and develop a healthier relationship with themselves and the world around them.
