Urology Nursing

Urology nursing is a specialized field within the larger field of nursing. Urology nurses provide care and support to patients with diseases and conditions of the urinary tract, reproductive organs, and adrenal glands. They perform a range of duties, from diagnosing, treating and educating patients to administering medications and performing various procedures. Urology nurses have expertise in assessing, diagnosing and treating urological-related conditions and injuries, such as incontinence, urinary tract infections, bladder and prostate cancer, and kidney stones. Urology nurses are essential in providing quality care and support to those with urological conditions, helping them manage their symptoms and live active and fulfilling lives.
