Telenursing
Telenursing is a new form of nursing care that uses telecommunication technology to remotely deliver nursing services. With telenursing, nurses are able to provide patient-centered care, health teaching, diagnostics, and follow-up care, as well as access to specialists and help with medication adherence and management. It provides increased access to healthcare services in rural and underserved areas where nurses are not easily available. It also gives nurses the opportunity to practice within their own specialty and territory, while taking advantage of the most up-to-date resources. Telenursing improves patient outcomes, increases patient engagement and satisfaction, and reduces health-care costs.
