Perioperative Nursing

Perioperative Nursing is an important specialty within nursing that focuses on the care of patients before, during, and after surgeries and other medical procedures. Perioperative Nurses work in hospital operating rooms and ambulatory surgical centers, and provide essential care to patients throughout the entire surgery process. They assess the patient's condition before, during and after the procedure; provide pre-operative instructions to patients and their families; provide comfort and reassurance; assist with positioning and draping of the patient during the procedure; maintain a sterile environment; and monitor the patient's condition and vital signs throughout the procedure. Perioperative Nurses are an integral part of the healthcare team and their expertise is essential for safe and successful surgical outcomes.
