Perianesthesia Nursing

Perianesthesia nursing is a specialized field of nursing that focuses on caring for patients before and after surgery and other anesthetic procedures. It is an important speciality as it aims to ensure the highest quality of care for patients before and after anesthesia, with the goal of improving patient outcomes and promoting patient safety. Perianesthesia nurses work closely with patients and anesthesiologists to develop an individualized plan of care for each patient, ensuring that their physical and psychological needs are met before, during, and after their anesthesia. Perianesthesia nurses also assess patient risk factors for complications and provide interventions to reduce those risks. They help patients to prepare for surgery and assess their response to anesthesia.
