Pain Management
Pain management is a medical field dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of pain. Pain can be caused by many conditions, such as injury, illness, or medical procedures. Pain management encompasses a range of treatments and therapies that help reduce pain and improve quality of life. Pain management may include physical therapy, medications, psychological therapy, acupuncture, lifestyle changes, and other treatments. When used together, these treatments can be effective in alleviating pain and restoring a person’s quality of life. Pain management is becoming increasingly important as the population ages and more people experience chronic and debilitating pain due to degenerative diseases, illness, and injury. Pain management benefits not only those experiencing pain, but also the families, caregivers, and healthcare providers who support them throughout their treatment journey.
