Nursing Interventions
Classification The Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC) is a comprehensive systematic taxonomy of nursing interventions that provides the language of nursing. It has been developed to support communication among nurses and other health care professionals, to provide a way to measure and document nursing care, and to provide a framework to organize care activities in the clinical setting. Its structure and content are based on ongoing nursing research and provide a common language of practice to nurses worldwide. The NIC is designed to support evidence-based practice, improve the quality of patient care, and promote patient safety. It is regularly updated to keep up with advances in evidence-based practice and changes in nursing.
