Legal Nursing

Legal Nursing is the practice of applying the specialized knowledge of nursing to legal issues that arise in medical care settings. The practice of legal nursing involves researching, analyzing, and interpreting legal standards, making informed decisions, and offering effective legal advice on ethical, moral, and legal issues related to health care. Legal Nurses often assist attorneys and other legal professionals in medical malpractice cases, assessing liability, and providing expert testimony in court. Legal Nurses can also provide vital evidence in defining a client’s rights and evaluating the quality of care provided. Legal Nursing has become an invaluable tool for providing quality healthcare and protecting patients’ rights.
