Health Visiting
Health Visiting is a professional practice in the United Kingdom that provides health and social care to children and families in their homes. Health Visitors work to ensure that families are able to access the services they need in order to stay healthy and informed. Health Visitors assess the health and wellbeing of children, families and communities, identify health needs and make referrals to other community services or health professionals where necessary. They also provide support, advice and health education to families, raising awareness of important health issues, such as nutrition, safety, immunization and development. Health Visiting is a fundamental part of public health and has the potential to improve outcomes for individuals, families and communities.
