Geriatric Nursing

Geriatric nursing is a specialized field of nursing that focuses on providing care for the elderly population. It takes into account the unique physical, mental, and emotional health needs of older adults and provides them with specialized care to maintain a high quality of life. Geriatric nurses routinely assess the elderly for potential health risks, provide education and resources to promote healthy aging, and provide appropriate treatments to manage conditions such as pain, depression, and dementia. Geriatric nursing plays an important role in helping seniors to age safely, gracefully, and with dignity. With the growing elderly population, geriatric nursing will continue to become increasingly important to ensure seniors receive the care and support they need to stay healthy and active for years to come.
