Community Nursing
Community nursing is a type of nursing practice focused on promoting, protecting, and enhancing the health of individuals, families, and communities. It combines traditional nursing practice with community health and public health initiatives in order to address social determinants of health, such as poverty and unequal access to health services. Community nurses provide preventative health services, education, and advocacy, and are a critical component in primary health care delivery. Community nursing services can improve the overall health of a population, reduce health disparities, and reduce the burden of chronic illness.
