Camp Nursing
Camp Nursing is a specialized area of nursing practice dedicated to the delivery of nursing care to campers and staff in an outdoor youth camp setting. Camp Nurses are responsible for providing both primary and emergency care, as well as monitoring and maintaining the overall health and safety of campers and staff. They have a unique blend of skills, including the ability to assess, diagnose, and treat illnesses and injuries, as well as provide health education and advice to campers and staff. In addition, Camp Nursing supports the campers’ physical and emotional wellbeing and contributes to an overall positive camp experience. Camp Nursing is a vital part of the camp experience, as it ensures that campers and staff maintain their health and safety while participating in outdoor recreational activities.
