Salmonella Typhi

Salmonella Typhi is a type of Salmonella bacteria that can cause typhoid fever. It is most commonly spread via contaminated food or water, and is a health risk in many parts of the world due to inadequate sanitation. Symptoms of typhoid fever include fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, and abdominal pain. Complications can include sepsis, intestinal perforation, and death. Treatment with antibiotics is effective, and vaccination is the best way to prevent the disease.
