Pulmonary Pathology
Pulmonary Pathology is a subspecialty of pathology that focuses on the diagnosis of diseases affecting the lungs, airways and other components of the respiratory system. Pulmonary Pathologists offer insight into a variety of conditions and diseases including infections, cancerous and non-cancerous tumors, and fibrotic disorders. They analyze samples of lung tissue or fluid that have been collected during a clinical procedure, and advise a course of action based on the results of their analysis. Pulmonary Pathologists provide invaluable information to medical professionals and help them to make decisions regarding the treatment and care of patients with respiratory disorders.
