Prostaglandin

E2 Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) is a hormone-like molecule that is involved in numerous physiological processes in the body. PGE2 is produced by cells in the uterus, stomach, and immune system and plays an important role in regulating inflammation, blood pressure, smooth muscle contraction, and normal cell growth. In addition, PGE2 has been linked to various diseases and conditions, such as allergic reactions, asthma, arthritis, cancer, and cardiovascular disease. Research is ongoing to better understand the role of PGE2 in health and disease in order to develop therapies that can modulate its activity.
