Otolaryngology

Otolaryngology is a medical specialty that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, throat and related structures of the head and neck. It is also known as Ear Nose Throat (ENT) medicine. Otolaryngologists are specially trained physicians who use a wide range of medical and surgical techniques to treat a variety of conditions. These include ear infections, hearing loss, balance problems, sinus and nasal disorders, voice disorders, and head and neck cancers. The specialty of otolaryngology is continually evolving to accommodate advances in diagnosis and treatment, making it an important field of medicine.
