Coreceptors
Coreceptors are a type of cell surface receptor that helps to amplify the binding of signalling molecules such as hormones, cytokines and growth factors to their primary receptor. They play a significant role in the biological processes of cell signalling and development and their malfunction can lead to many diseases. Coreceptors are useful for many applications such as drug discovery, biomarker identification for diagnosis, and therapeutic target development for drug development.
