Genetic Dominance
Genetic dominance is a phenomenon in which a single gene completely masks or overrides the effects of another gene. It is one of the key principles of genetics, responsible for heredity and the transmission of traits between generations. Genetic dominance is important to understand how different traits are passed on in a population and can help explain why certain traits are more common than others in a given population. It can also be used in the development of new and improved breeds of plants and animals, as well as in medical research, to better understand how and why certain genetic diseases occur.
