Chromosome Topology
Chromosome Topology is a branch of science studying the three-dimensional structures of chromosomes both within cells and on a larger scale. It is a valuable tool to help understand the complex structure of the genome and how this relates to gene expression and regulation. Chromosome Topology is used in genetic studies to identify and characterize genes, to better understand gene regulation, as well as to study the role of chromatin organization in disease. By understanding the chromatin structure, it is possible to develop strategies to manipulate these structures to alter gene expression and guide therapeutic strategies.
