Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a mental disorder characterized by abnormal social behavior, delusions, and cognitive impairment. It affects people of all ages and is considered one of the most disabling and emotionally devastating psychiatric illnesses. People with schizophrenia often experience hallucinations, delusions, disorganized thinking and speech, and other symptoms that can interfere with their ability to function on a daily basis. Treatment for schizophrenia typically includes a combination of medications, psychosocial interventions, and supportive services. With proper treatment, many people with the disorder can lead productive and meaningful lives.
