Community Based Intervention
Community based interventions are strategies that focus on the health and well-being of a particular population. These interventions utilize a combination of interactive activities and support from various organizations, such as health care providers, local governments, non-profit organizations and community activists. These interventions are designed to improve the health outcomes of communities by addressing underlying social determinants of health, such as poverty, employment, housing, transportation and access to health care. Additionally, interventions can help to improve access to preventive care, reduce the risks of chronic diseases and create positive health behaviors. By engaging local stakeholders and involving the community directly, these interventions can be tailored to a specific population in order to maximize impact.
