Cognitive-behavioral Therapy
Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that helps people to modify their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in order to improve their psychological well-being. CBT is based on the idea that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are all connected, so changing one may affect the other. It is commonly used to treat a variety of mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. CBT is a widely accepted and effective treatment, and has been found to be effective in reducing symptoms and helping people to cope with difficult situations. The aim of CBT is to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge to manage their own mental health, so they can better deal with future emotional challenges.
