Glycan Arrays

Glycan arrays are tools used to study the structure of a carbohydrate molecule known as a glycan. A glycan is composed of a number of monosaccharide units linked together in a specific order. By using a glycan array, researchers are able to identify differences between glycans, which can be used for various applications, such as drug development, diagnostics, and basic research. The arrays are composed of hundreds to thousands of different glycans, allowing for the comprehensive study of glycan-protein interactions. This technology has made it possible to rapidly detect and profile the structure and function of a glycan, accelerating biomedical research and the development of new therapeutic agents.
