Carbohydrate Biomaterials

Carbohydrate biomaterials are materials derived from naturally occurring carbohydrates, such as glucose and chitosan, which have been engineered for biomedical applications. These materials have gained increasing attention in recent years due to their low cost, biocompatibility, and biodegradability. These properties make them ideal for use as sutures, scaffolds, drug delivery vehicles, and tissue engineering materials. Carbohydrate biomaterials have great potential in the field of regenerative medicine, as they can be used to promote tissue repair and regeneration with minimal side effects.
