Burkitt's Lymphoma
Burkitt's Lymphoma (BL) is a type of cancer that affects certain types of white blood cells in the body. It is a fast-growing lymphoma that can spread quickly, making it a serious type of cancer. BL usually arises in the cells of the immune system, such as B-cells and T-cells, but can affect other cells as well. Its most common symptom is an enlarged lymph node, but it can also cause tumors in the stomach, intestines, jaw, face and neck. Treatment for BL typically includes chemotherapy, radiotherapy and/or surgery. Early diagnosis and prompt treatment typically lead to successful recovery. BL is an important form of lymphoma that deserves attention from the medical community, as it can cause serious complications if left untreated.
