Self-efficacy

Self-efficacy is an important psychological concept for understanding our behavior. It refers to an individual's beliefs and expectations about their ability to succeed in achieving a specific goal or task. Self-efficacy can influence an individual's motivation, willingness to persist in difficult tasks, and how well they adapt to challenging situations. Self-efficacy beliefs are shaped by past successes and failures, and can be influenced through the provision of feedback, encouragement and guidance. Knowing how to strengthen one’s self-efficacy can be beneficial in many areas of life from work and sport, to school and relationships. Understanding self-efficacy and its importance is essential for creating well-being and achieving success.
