Glandular Tissue
Glandular tissue is composed of cells specialized in the production and secretion of hormones, enzymes, and other substances important to bodily functions. It is a critical part of the endocrine and exocrine systems. Glandular tissue is found throughout the human body and plays a vital role in digestion, metabolism, growth, and reproduction. Recent research has uncovered various medical applications for glandular tissue, such as treatments for diabetes, thyroid disorders, and infertility. Glandular tissue also holds potential for regenerative medicine and tissue engineering aimed at restoring or augmenting damaged or missing tissue.
