Ehealth is a term used to refer to health services and information delivered or enabled through digital technologies, such as the internet, mobile phones, and specialty telecommunication devices. It enables convenient, efficient, and secure access to medical information, healthcare services, patient monitoring, and health education. Ehealth is transforming healthcare delivery by providing consumers with better access to healthcare information and connected health services, thereby improving health outcomes and reducing the cost of healthcare. Ehealth is increasingly being used to facilitate health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment, care management, and health research. Examples of ehealth tools include telemedicine, wearable devices, mobile apps, and predictive analytics.
