Breast Reconstruction
Breast reconstruction is a reconstructive plastic surgery procedure for women who have undergone mastectomy. It is used to rebuild the breast area after the removal of all or part of the breast tissue. It restores the breast shape and size, helping to restore a woman's self-image. Breast reconstruction can be performed using a variety of surgical techniques, including skin-sparing mastectomies, implant-based reconstruction, flap-based reconstruction, nipple-sparing mastectomies and more. The choice of technique used depends on the patient's anatomy and body type, as well as their aesthetic goals. Breast reconstruction is an important step in helping a woman to look and feel whole again after a mastectomy. It can also be beneficial in terms of restoring physical comfort and providing psychological support.
