Breast Implants
Breast implants are medical devices used to enhance the size, shape, and contour of the female breasts. Implants contain an outer silicone shell filled with silicone gel or a saline solution. Breast implants are mainly used for cosmetic reasons and are inserted behind the breast tissue or the chest muscle. They can help improve a woman’s self-image, confidence, and body image. In addition, breast implants can be beneficial for women who have had a mastectomy or other major damage to their breasts. Breast implants can also be used for reconstruction for breast cancer patients. The implants are designed to give a natural look and feel, and have been found to be safe and effective.
